Extracurriculars
In addition to the eight classes I attend during the school week, I dedicate my time to volunteering, working, and engaging in various activities.
Model UN
During my three years at Watkinson, I have been involved in the Model UN club. Throughout this experience, I have developed skills in conducting debates, crafting complex papers and arguments, and enhancing my public speaking confidence. I now serve as the Vice President of Model UN, where I assist in managing organized discussions and guiding meetings for our club of over 30 members.
Careers
As soon as I turned sixteen I quickly began my search for work as I realized the expense of the future I hope to have. Over the summer of 2025 I worked at a Summer Camp where I had the opportunity to be the counselor of a group of third grade girls. I now work in retail. These two jobs I have had so far have given me a variety of experiences and new found passions.
President of Homecoming Committee
During my time at Watkinson, I have spent every fall planning the schools Homecoming Dance. It is an extensive process that teaches me patience and the power in commitment.
Book Drive
Since ninth grade myself and a classmate of mine have run a children's book drive that has donated over one thousand books to elementary schools in the Greater Hartford Area. We have worked closely with the Hartford Board of Education to ensure the books donated are put to good use. The book drive plans to run once again this upcoming spring.
