Mexico Ambassador to the U.S.
On November 6th 2025, a few of my fellow students and I had the opportunity to listen to Mexican Ambassador to the US, Esteban Moctezuma Barragán speak at a WAC event. He spoke about issues from both countries that impact trade, border control, and their overall relationship. During his conversation, he brought up various topics that caught my attention. I spent a lot of time post event doing research on the U.S. and Mexico relationship.
UCONN Summit
On October 23rd 2025 Global Studies attended the Human Rights Through Sports Summit, hosted by UCONN. We spent the whole day listening to key speakers that are professionals in human rights speak on various current day events including the upcoming Olympics in 2028.
On October 7th 2025, the entire Global Studies Program had the chance to visit the site of the Woodstock music festival. This sight held so much energy and joy of what happened there. We got to walk the grounds and experience the museum with photographs, recordings and letters, that brought the place to life.
